Network 1 Settles into New Fenton Office

May 19, 2008: FENTON, Mo. --- Network 1 Communications, a St. Louis-based citywide wireless Internet service provider, has settled into its new headquarters at 900 S. Highway Drive in Fenton, Mo.

The office space, located in Suite 202, is about 3,000 square feet and able to accommodate Network 1 and its 12 employees as the company establishes itself as the largest citywide wireless Internet service provider in the United States.

But before Network 1 goes nationwide, it will start with 1,100 square miles across the St. Louis and St. Charles areas.

"We picked Fenton because it is a central location in the Greater St. Louis region, a region which will soon have the largest privately held wireless Internet network in the country," said Mark O'Neal, vice president of business development for Network 1.

Earlier this year, Network 1 finished installing citywide wireless infrastructure to service 10 square miles of O'Fallon, Mo. Within the first few months, Network 1 signed up over 200 subscribers. Network 1 is the first company in St. Louis to cover a large area with wireless, high-speed Internet service.

Since then, many other cities in the St. Louis region, including Florissant, Kirkwood, Clayton, Crestwood, St. Paul, Dardenne Prairie and Cottleville, have stepped forward to work in concert with Network 1 to install citywide wireless networks.

"Our citywide wireless network is more versatile than ordinary Internet service because it allows residents to access the Internet at home, in the park, at the grocery story or anywhere they go in the city for one low monthly fee. Our growing subscriber base is proof of the strong demand for this affordable, wireless service," said O'Neal.
